Bounce rate
A digital marketing metric used in web traffic analytics measuring the percentage of website visitors that leave (“bounce”) rather than continuing to view other pages within the same site. This means that the Google Analytics server doesn’t receive a trigger from the visitor. A user bounces when there has been no engagement with the landing page and the visit ends with a single-page visit. The metric is calculated by dividing the number of single page visits by the total amount of visits and later represented as a percentage of total visits. The average bounce rate range is between 41 and 51%.
